Park City Date!

After our wonderful family vacation my hunny and I decided that we needed a date! My mom graciously volunteered to watch the kids even though they were sick. So we got home from Bear Lake and Alex and I headed to Park City! We had such a fun time! The quick silver was our favorite! We had to ride it more than once! The Zip lines were alot of fun too! I love my wonderful hubby! Quick Silver
Just Us! We are standing on top of where they ski jump! They were practicing and it was so cool to watch!

Bear Lake; Our First and Last Family Vacation

The last week of August we went to Bear Lake and stayed in my parents condo. On the drive up there it was raining, sleeting, and snowing. This is going to be fun, at least the condo has a inside pool.

The first night we were there Austin threw up all over the carpet. I had to take the children for a walk in the rain while Alex helped them clean it up. We decided we better stay in for the night hoping none of the other kids got sick.

The next day we took the kids swimming and to collect shells at the lake. They had so much fun. I don't have pictures with the kids swimming because with 4 under 4 we had to have both hands to help the kids swim as none of them know how. (I know what were we thinking!) We do have pictures of collecting shells but I can't find them on the computer :( We took them out to eat that night as it was our last night their. We also stopped and got Bear Lakes Famous Raspberry shakes! Delicious!

We put the kids to bed and Alex and I started to watch a movie. We heard the boys crying and decided we should go check to make sure they were okay. They were thirsty so as we got them water. Lydia, who had been sound asleep on the bed, eyes flew open and with a look of panic in here eyes she started to vomit. Projectile form all over herself and the bedding. Ugh. Showers and new bedding, comforting her lead to a VERY long night.

The next day she said she was feeling better, we packed up and headed home through the canyon. As we were driving I was telling Lydia about the last time her Dad and I had been to Bear Lake. I was pregnant with her and had awful morning sickness. I told her that we had to stop several times in the curvy canyon so that I could be sick. Just as I said that she starts vomitting all over the car! Alex finds a spot to pull over in the narrow canyon, turns and releases her seat belt and I pull her out of the car. Alex starts cleaning the car while I strip her down. She is sobbing that she threw up all over her shells and they are ruined. The other kids are crying cause they are scared. Half an hour later we are headed out again. The car stinks! We were able to stop in Logan for some garbage sacks and febreeze which at least made the rest of the drive tolerable.

As we pulled in to the driveway Alex looks at me and says: "We are NEVER going on vacation again!" I had to agree with him. What a awsome first family vacation....We are planning on taking another this year with his family and one with mine. Hopefully it goes ALOT smoother.
